Zacharey Carmichael is an Economist in the Food and Nutrition Security team of the World Bank’s Agriculture and Food Global Practice. He serves as the technical coordinator for food security crises for the IDA Crisis Response Window Early Response Financing – a US$1 billion financing modality to help countries scale up early action to emerging food and nutrition security crises and disease outbreaks. He is also a member of the Secretariat for the Global Alliance for Food Security, a member of the Coordination Unit for the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program, and he supports the World Bank’s engagement as part of the Global Network Against Food Security Crises. Zacharey specializes in food security crisis risk management, including strategic capacity building in food security crisis preparedness.
