Zarrina Azizova is a Climate Finance Specialist in the Climate Finance Mobilization Unit of the World Bank’s Global Climate Change Department. She focuses on integrating climate and carbon finance into World Bank operations and monitoring policy and regulatory developments under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. Prior to joining the World Bank, Zarrina worked with leading energy companies, including ENDESA and ENEL, and brings over 20 years of experience in climate finance and carbon markets. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Central European University and the University of Manchester.
