Zoe Trohanis, Lead Disaster Risk Management Specialist at the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), has more than 20 years of experience at the Bank in disaster risk management and urban development programs, working in Europe and Central Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and East Asia and the Pacific. Previously, she worked in the Hazard Management Unit at GFDRR. Prior to working at the Bank, she worked in both academia and in the private sector. Zoe has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an Master's degree from American University's School of International Service.
