Zoe Elena Trohanis is a Lead Disaster Risk Management Specialist and Advisor to the Global Director for Urban, Subnational Finance, Tourism, and Disaster Management at the World Bank Group. She has more than 20 years of experience in disaster risk management and urban development programs in various regions, including Europe and Central Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and East Asia and the Pacific. She has also worked at the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR).
Prior to working at the World Bank Group, she worked in both academia and in the private sector. Zoe has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an Master's degree from American University's School of International Service.
