Zuzana Stanton-Geddes is a Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist with the World Bank’s Europe and Central Asia region where she has been leading and co-leading regional and country-specific projects in Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Romania, and Ukraine. Zuzana has over 15 years of experience related to urban resilience, critical infrastructure, and post-disaster recovery. While working in the East Asia and the Pacific region (2010-2020), Zuzana has worked on countries including Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Lao PDR, and Myanmar. Zuzana has led and contributed to several World Bank reports including Economics for Disaster Prevention and Preparedness, Ukraine Rapid Damage and Needs Assessments, Building Urban Resilience: Principles, Tools and Practice, and others. She holds graduate degrees from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and Humboldt University in Berlin, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cambridge.
