Alina F. Burlacu is a Senior Transport Specialist with the Global Road Safety Facility (GRSF), managing the Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety from the World Bank side. She is a road engineer from Romania, PhD in road safety and Road Safety Auditor trainer, with an academic background as an assistant professor at Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest and research assistant at Stuttgart University, Germany. Before this current position, Alina was the personal advisor to the Prime Minister in the Romanian Government, overseeing road safety activities. Previously, she worked as a road designer for private companies and offering road safety advisory services through her consultancy company. Alina has over 13 years of experience in road safety, including engineering, policy making, research and advocacy.
