Sarah Bunker is a Data Fellow bridging work across the World Bank Gender and Data Groups. Sarah manages efforts to improve the accessibility and usability of sex-disaggregated data and gender statistics at the country level through the Gender Data Portal. Prior to joining the World Bank, Sarah was an international education and development consultant for programs in various countries in Africa, the Caribbean, and Europe. Her development experience includes conducting and designing evaluations, M&E plans, and household surveys for WASH, education, health, and girls’ empowerment programs. Her professional interests include researching indicators and creating data visualizations and infographics, especially for measuring and highlighting gender, education, health, and poverty gaps. Sarah holds a MPP with a focus in International Development from the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University, a BA in International Relations and Italian from Bucknell University, and was awarded a Fulbright to Russia in 2012.
