Sebastian is an analyst at the South Asia Office of the Chief Economist at the World Bank. His research interests include International Economics, Regional Integration, Trade Costs, Macroeconomic Dynamics and Foreign Direct Investment. Before joining the World Bank, he worked at the European Central Bank and the Inter-Amerian Development Bank, after completing his Ph.D. at Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, France. His recent work at the World Bank includes contributions to the World Development Report 2020 "Trading for Development in the Age of Global Value Chains" and the South Asia Economic Focus.
