Sebastian Franco Bedoya is an Economist in the Macroeconomics, Trade, and Investment Global Practice, LAC region at the World Bank Group. Sebastian previously worked at the South Asia Region Chief Economist Office. Before joining the World Bank, he worked at the European Central Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, after completing his Ph.D. His research interests include International Economics, Regional Integration, Trade Costs, Macroeconomic Dynamics and Foreign Direct Investment. His recent work at the World Bank includes working papers on globalization, and contributions to the World Development Report 2020 "Trading for Development in the Age of Global Value Chains" and the South Asia Economic Focus.
