Claire Chase is a Senior Economist with the World Bank Water Global Practice where she works on results measurement, impact evaluation, and social research at the nexus of Water, Health and Nutrition. Prior to joining the World Bank, she was a visiting researcher with the Barcelona Center for International Health Research in Mozambique and carried out ethnographic research on environmental and political activism in Puerto Rico. She holds a Master's Degree in Population and International Health Economics from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Latin American Studies, Gender Studies and Spanish from the University of Kansas. She has authored peer-reviewed publications on a range of health and development topics.
