Eduardo Vicente Gonçalves is a civic tech expert focused on empowering social accountability through digital initiatives, usually involving open data and open-source software. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Essex and currently he is a citizen engagement & agile fellow at the World Bank. In the last few years, he has been engaged in Brazilian civic society as one of the co-founders of Operação Serenata de Amor and as the leader of the Data Science for Civic Innovation Program at Open Knowledge Brasil – the Brazilian chapter of the international NGO focused on access to knowledge and open data.
