Giovanni Michele Toglia is a data management and IT consultant. Former safety-critical software developer for the Italian defense/space private sector, since 2014 he has been collaborating with academia, the World Bank and the United Nations. Giovanni worked on the implementation of e-business systems, open-data portals, remote sensing and other innovative solutions in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Suriname. He has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and a master’s degree in Software Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome. Giovanni is currently consulting for the Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience and Land Global Practice at the World Bank in Haiti and in the Dominican Republic.
