Jason Weaver is a Senior Education Specialist at the World Bank. In addition to his technical work, which focuses on higher education system reforms, Jason recently helped design and launch the Bank’s Human Capital Project. Prior to that, he worked on a special assignment in the Bank’s Office of the CEO to improve institutional effectiveness and agility. He currently coordinates efforts to achieve the Bank’s ambitious new Learning Target, which aims to rapidly improve the percentage of 10-year-olds in low- and middle-income countries who can read and understand a simple story.
Before joining the Bank, Jason was a Director at a higher education consultancy. During his ten years in consulting, he provided strategy and management advice to a wide variety of higher education systems and institutions. Jason received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and his graduate degree, which focused on education planning, policy and administration, from Harvard University.
