Khalid Anouar is an Environmental Specialist with the Environment and Natural Resources Global Practice, at the World Bank Group. He is a Moroccan national and holds a Ph.D. in groundwater Sciences and a DEA (M.Sc.) in Environmental Management from Lille University.
With over 25 years of professional experience in environmental and water management, Khalid has worked for a decade with various industrial sectors (mining and agro-industries) to develop and implement environmental policies. Afterwards, he worked as a consultant with various international agencies in Morocco and also with the Ministry of Environment for which he conducted sectorial studies focusing on natural resources management, solid waste management and development of CDM projects under the UNFCCC convention on climate change. From 2010 to 2014, Khalid worked with SNC Lavalin as an environmental project director in Quebec-Canada.
