Social Development Specialist
Paula Rossiasco is a Social Development Specialist, working in the Africa region of the World Bank. She has extensive experience with crime and violence prevention and citizen security initiatives in both Africa and LAC, working in the design and implementation of technical assistance and investment projects in numerous countries including Colombia, Guatemala, Peru, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Kenya and Rwanda, as well as in sub-regional initiatives in Central, South America and Sub-Saharan Africa. Paula has worked on violence prevention programs as a public servant for the Colombian Government, as a specialist at multi-lateral organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank, and as a private consultant. She is the co-author of numerous analytical pieces, including most recently the report “Urban Fragility and Violence in Africa: A Cross-country Analysis” (2014).
