Rossella Della Monica works as Disaster Risk Management Specialist at the World Bank’s Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery, based in Brussels, where she focuses on the management and implementation of EU-funded program, particularly in Africa, Europe and Central Asia. Prior to this position, Rossella worked in Washington with the World Bank Latin America and Caribbean Disaster Risk Management team. Before joining the World Bank, she worked as Program Manager at a Brussels-based consultancy, and for several NGOs as project officer in Europe and Tanzania. Rossella, an Italian national, holds a MA in Risk and Crisis Management from the University Pantheon Sorbonne in Paris, an MA in Humanitarian Assistance from the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve, and a degree in physical geography from Pantheon-Sorbonne.
