Tomas Williams is an Assistant Professor in the Economics department at George Washington University. His main fields of research are International Finance, Financial Economics and Empirical Banking, with a special interest on financial intermediaries and how they affect international capital flows and economic activity. He has worked as a consultant for The World Bank. He studies economics at Universidad del CEMA in Buenos Aires and a Ph.D. in Economics and Finance from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
