Uzma Quresh is working with the World Bank Group Pakistan Office as a Senior Social Development Specialist (Gender). Uzma has more than 14 years of experience working on gender equality and women’s empowerment with international and national organizations covering a diverse range of issues including women’s economic empowerment, financial inclusion, enterprise development, violence against women, disaster risk reduction/management, food security, gender-responsive budgeting and planning. She previously worked with UN Women in Pakistan for eight years leading its women’s economic empowerment program and managed UN Women Uganda’s portfolio in 2016.
