Vismay Parikh, Consultant, Jobs Group, World Bank Group

Vismay supports the Jobs group’s work on Operations, M&E, and Results. His interests lie in lending operations especially in the areas of jobs and livelihood generation. His work focuses on understanding what works in bank’s operations and identifying best practices to improve the quality of bank’s portfolio and influence the design of potential projects. He is also responsible for the group’s corporate scorecard reporting, developing tools to analyze portfolio data and organizing the group’s flagship annual learning event- jobs and migration core course. He also provides operational support to the Jobs multi donor trust fund (Jobs MDTF) by providing quality assurance, managing the portfolio of grants and tracking deliverables to identify innovative practices and lessons learned in the area. Prior to joining the group he was based in the field in Rwanda where he advised the PMU on the Rwanda Rural Sector Support Program (RSSP) and Rwanda Feeder Roads Project. He also spent 4 months in Mongolia evaluating the JSDF funded Mongolia Community Driven Development Project. Vismay holds a Master in Public Policy (MPP) from Johns Hopkins University.
