Yevgeniya Savchenko is an Economist in the Poverty and Equity Practice in the Latin America and the Caribbean Region at the World Bank leading the poverty program in the Caribbean. She works on issues related to poverty, labor markets, skills development, and competitiveness. Prior to joining the group, she worked in the South Asia Region, the Europe and Central Asia Region, and the World Bank Institute. She holds an M.S. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and a Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University. She taught Econometrics and Statistics at Georgetown University.
