Eradication of poverty worldwide is pretty simple! It is necessary to create a worldwide organization like the ( world bank ) , but with the difference that it would take seriously all analysis and data in every country you are in charge to give help by getting a group of researchers to fly to this countries and make sure people in need get the necessary help making sure this group is with the best security to get their job done any where they would go to Can’t just keep playing by the all rules of dictatorships and organizations to help this people, when in reality they would not help the people in need, but instead their self and their group or organizations! and is being happening for decades and I believe it is time for someone that want to make a difference to take a better approach to this horrendous acts of malice envy and selfishness. Organizing a data system with the help of the government in the country of your choice to make the deference and analyze their possibilities on a daily basis! Search and analyze and investigate their status and their possibilities they have with their kids to go to school and alimentations Create within the organization a work program with the help of your local government and the help from the ( world bank ) and if there is no possibilities to get help from their government? get a special program to help this areas in need. Work programs would be dedicated to give classes and instruction to mothers and fathers to learn new skill and get their certification and place them in work areas making sure their new work placement works with their expectations and give them psychological therapy in case of need Making sure this people get the help they need is so important because will be working with people that have good mental and physical conditions, I mean are not drug addicts. Would make a good asset to our economic development and reestablish freedom and the promise of democracy eradicating hate and malicious groups and also would get the right security worldwide. It is necessary to teach the poor basic skills like cash management skill communication skills and psychological skill to get ahead in life. Also is necessary to make sure they are aware of preventing pregnancy Teenage pregnancy and adult pregnancy needs to be educated in these areas, their psychological program needs to go deep on their awareness and their knowledge about bringing a child to misery? I am not saying if they are poor they must not have a baby but they must understand it is ridiculous to bring 4 or 5 baby’s in really poor conditions were they lack of water food and electricity. I am a firm believer that if we all want a better future for all kids and adults that are suffering from antagonizing poverty? Is necessary to take a better approach and work diligently to analyze and dismantle all the organizations that are under control of these issues and better manage the cash flow in these entities and you will see how much you have to get the job done.

Greater development, implementation; and even more importantly, management of technology (including technological systems) is exactly what it'll take to rid the world of poverty.

The Leaders and Politicians must have a 100% change in their thinking, methodology, and MUST be sincere for poverty to actually END. Government must have a robust economic plan for her citizenry and implementation of such plan should be taken very serious. Government should tackle the macro economic issues of Political Stability, Unemployment, Inflation, etc and made available social goods such as infrastructures: Energy/Roads/Water/Health/Education/Housing, etc. Having put all of these in place by a sincere Government/Leadership, then people will be able to align themselves with the dream and future plan of Government, and the dreaded word known as ``poverty`` will surely pass by as a phase. Sincerity of Leadership is key in all of these.

The capacity of societies and groups to reach consensus and collaborate towards common goals is what gets them out of poverty. Societies that lose that capacity, also lose ground. This capacity is knowledge that can be created, improved and transfered (or it can be lost). This requires investing in the institutions, the processes and the people that make it possible.

EVERY YEAR THE SENIOR CITIZEN POPULATION IS INCREASING ACROSS COUNTRIES - THIS A SKILLED AND EXPERIENCED WORKFORCE WHICH IS BEING IGNORED - INSTEAD OF PUTTING THEM TO PASTURE - AN ATTEMPT MUST BE MADE TO INVOLVE THEM IN DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITES ON A CONSULTANT BASIS 5. SCRAP THE CONCEPT OF DOLE - SOCIAL SECURITY HAS ITS DEMERITS

You to reorganize capitalism to extract a "take out" of some ten or fifteen percent of the wealth of the developed countries, and distribute it on a per-capita basis to the bottom billion or so persons each of whom would get an "entitlement" to a fair share. You cannot get the wealth to them through normal trade means; it will never happen. Instead, you create a new stage for capitalism, where most of the products are still produced for normal trade but some ten or fifteen percent or more of the produce is removed from normal trade and put into a distribution system. The main challenge then becomes fair distribution of this extracted set of products, presumably mostly things like food and medicine. The recipients are freed from the usual expectation that they have to somehow earn money to buy these things with. The goods are supplied without any expectation. I have developed this idea in my own thinking. There are three conditions: the goods must be distributed equally to all who qualify for their share; the goods must respect the culture (no giving pork to Muslims, for example) and be non-harmful to the culture receiving; giving the goods must not harm the environment.

Fighting poverty requires serious efforts and commitment to tackle the underlying cause(s) of the problem, the conditions that perpetuate poverty and a fundamental change in human behavior. Our society is what it is due to our own human interventions and the drive to act the way we do. For the poor man, it is about deprivation, for the rich man, it is about exploitation, for the political leader, it is about greed, for the community, it is about survival. What will it take to change the way we behave? Both the rich and poor have the power to make that change and make the world a better place.

Simple: the drive of economic policy should be to create the conditions so people can live on less $€£¥ per day rather than more. Isn't that efficiency? Good on those people who live on less than the rest: may we learn from your example.

Big and giant able bodies like WFP, FAO, UN, and other foundations can surely close the gap between the poor and rich by more empowerment of grass roots through politically uninfluenced commercial self sustainable projects that meet the world's standards and demand. Much of the projects being done are politically based at the end the real intended targets are loosing.

Japan, South Korea, and China created a skilled labor force by emphasizing small family size and educating their children. Skilled labor force, in turn, enabled rapid economic growth especially in the wake of globalization. One would have thought that a Korean-born president of the World Bank will be aware of these obvious facts. There is little point in sending Bank staff to various developing countries in expensive missions to write redundant reports. Rather, the healthcare infrastructure needs to be supported via direct and indirect policies for improving child health outcomes and for reducing fertility in developing countries.

The vast majority of the world's poor live in rural areas. That is also where most of the poorest of the poor live. The world needs to pursue development strategies and programs that promote equitable economic growth and the sustainable delivery of basic services in rural areas in order to help rural people to lift themselves out of poverty. Development strategies that focus largely on urban development, and extracting resources from rural areas for the benefit of urban consumers will worsen the plight of the rural poor. Attention to the problems of the world's mega-cities is without doubt critical, but it should not come at the expense of rural development. Such lop-sided development will only worsen the situation of the world's poorest in the long-run. In short, let's give more attention to small-holder economic development, and providing rural education, health, water, and sanitation services.

7 recommendations to be considered: 1. Have clear population policy and manage it (the world, our common home, has limited capacity); 2. The world ecosystem is fragile and most of damages that human being is causing are irreversible or expensive to reverse. Therefore safe the world from not being hostile to human being; 3. End greed. Use your fair share of the natural global resources so that the limited global resources will be shared to the poor (respect universal values at all stage); 4. Respect differences and negotiate in civilized ways (develop culture of tolerance). 5. Facilitate opportunities to the poor or to un favored group so that they will not be desperate; 6. Invest in Creative, Innovative and Safe technologies to overcome scarcity of global resources. 7. Reward responsible, accountable and transparent individuals, governments and organizations...

The infrastructure construction for exploitation of naturally available drinking water and for irrigation. Next step is the education and training in crops. The infrastructure in the industrial processing of agricultural products and trade will increase wealth. Road and rail infrastructure will develop trade. Reduce operating costs of global organizations and provide money for education and health of hungry people. Work with volunteers and pay them after the results of their work. Create projects and after tender assign the contractor to implement with low cost and measurable results. Not only the hungry people live with very little but employees for global organizations live with too much.

A solution for poverty is create a temporary (20 - 40 years) joint venture or partnership between a poor country and a rich country. Burundi - Netherlands Ruanda - Belgium Botswana - EEUU etc. etc. Temporary, but deep Agreements between countries is a solution, because a regulated market action is the solution. Best regards. Endless blogs about erasing poverty... 100% of those blogs focus on "valuable citizenship" not based on wealth or system design. None express how or where grants and means are from. NONE consider Vietnam victim of the very system design. Mind you Vietnam most are unsupported widows and degenerated children PTSD. The world system let big powere robbed lands and resources and still push the young citizens into their army. BLoggers so avid for a good bureaucratic position, with your smart skillful expression, so confident of your geographic priority after your ex-colonial ties, you claim for equality but do you ever think of justice or equal access?

I strongly believe that the road to fight poverty is creating quality employment. Poverty probably can be defined as the lack of working opportunities. And those working opportunities can be boosted with the right framework for the individual initiative to prosper. Yet in many societies with high rates of unemployed or underemployed people, individual initiatives are burdened by a legal or administrative framework that make very difficult for the private economy to fully develop to its capacities. Therefore one road to pursue with earnest should be dismanteling all the roadblocks that detter private investment (burocracy, high or complicate tax systems, local regulations-permits, etc). In my point of view this way is much more efficient than creating public employment programs that are generally temporal by nature and limited in their scope.

Poverty is a worldwide phenomenon and shares certain characteristics irrespective of where it may be located. It means deprivation of material goods necessary for life and reproduction, as well as deprivation of dignity and the power to make decisions regarding one's life or that of one's family. It relates to powerlessness which is both material and non material. And while we don't like Marxists, there is a lesson to be learnt from what Marx wrote. Organizations of the poor need to develop which can provide cogent ideas for change. The poor find it hard to end their poverty at an individual level despite their constant struggle to make a livelihood and get a bit of dignity. The poor need social capital more than anyone else. They need to get organised into homogenous groups to discuss the constraints that hamper their efforts to end poverty, and ways to improve their access to material resources as well as gain decision making power in their own local context. The success of local efforts of tribal groups in West Bengal (India), or in other parts of the world have lessons for replication but always keeping in mind the local context. Corruption is a huge barrier to poverty alleviation and governance is the one solution for checking corruption. The people need to struggle against corrupt states, but they need assistance. For instance, after long years of supping with the devil (!), international agencies and major powers at a point in time stopped dealing with corrupt dictatorships. A concerted move to deny access to resources and international recognition is essential to help peoples' movements to bring down corrupt regimes. All this means a time of turmoil. However without turmoil real transformation cannot come.

The poverty exists when the population in a country lacks of education: many children are not in school, others have to quit school, and that is because their parents or guarantor cannot afford it. If we help those children in need by schooling them they won't resell for the cheapest price the wealth of the country, or join the gang or be irresponsible. Their parents in other hand will work in firm to help feeding their children (of course they should be financed first to start the project) Also, if we give the option of schooling to girls and make them know the brighter future they could have by taking this new option, believe me most of them (all of them) will get to school. Where I live the rehabilitation of the train and railway will improve a lot the transportation, the productivity and will reduce the inflation.

Bring back the gold standard for money and let go of fiat currency. Let countries rich in natural resources be responsbile for manufacturing and selling their own goods and products according to their own policies and dissolve the WTO. Stop Free trade and monocultures. Stop the carbon footprint on each commodity by going local. Let corporates be taxed according to the wealth they have hoarded. Equal distribution of wealth can only happen if the rich are taxed heavily and the middle class is taxed less and the poor not at all. Schools, college education, Medical facilities must be free for all citizens around the world. Manufacturing Big cars that drink oil must stop and carpooling must be a rule. Government must spend on infrastructure and other services and must help make agriculture a viable occupation. The world must be without borders and governments must be in place to facilitate lives of people and make living easy and not as a hindrace towards living a life of dignity. Corporates must not be treated as a individuals but individuals that make the corporates must be socially and morally responsible for the society they work in. These are the things I can think of right now....

This is a good idea toward discussing the possible solutions to eradicate poverty. Ever since its creation the World Bank has been running a poverty eradication program. But, instead of eradicating poverty, there is significant increase, and all the money being spent on organizing the process has gone to the drains. So, the first thing is the accountability of this world organization, and then finding the causes of its failure. Poverty is a world wide phenomenon, but in the underdeveloped world or the third-world countries, poverty is at a very high level. This is with reference to the countries in Africa and Asia in particular. And the main factors are(i) corruption, (ii) wastage-leakage and pilferage of precious resources (III) want of quality leadership, (IV) lack of education and (V) the failure to provide infrastructural facilities; especially transportation and communication for the villagers to bring their products to the markets. Unless these problems are addressed fairly and squarely, it won't be possible to eradicate poverty. The other problems relate to world wide tax evasion by the super rich individuals and big corporations. They conveniently manage to move billions of dollars in the well known tax havens of the world by way of money laundering, smuggling and stealing. In this connection the G-20 group of countries have often discussed the woes but they seem to be not so serious. The world Bank needs to evolve a mechanism in coordination with the organizations like the OECD etc to eradicate the criminal campaign of the tax evaders so that safety nets could be provided to the poor in different countries.

from a design perspective, create an IDEA BANK, where not much is needed to invest, rank each idea with a profit margin. There are so many rich and smart people in the world to execute ideas. What we lack is for poor to invest there simplest ideas, we make it so hard for them, business plan, execute it, find investors... this should be as simple as a post it note that you can invest and get money for. The bank will collect the ideas match them with their makers and give a royalty fee, percentage for the idea creator. IDEAS should be respective for each individual environment.

Philanthropy I have been impressed of what I have heard about the work of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, run by Bill and Melinda Gates - e.g. providing vaccines to the poor and helping farmers increase yield on vegetation by testing soil samples. Encouraging great philanthropic efforts from the well-to-do and resourceful will certainly help. Microfinance Microfinance, promoted by Nobel Peace Prize winner, Muhammad Yunus, with Grameen Bank was very successful in bringing people out of poverty, especially women in coutries like Bangladesh. He wrote the well publicised book, Banker to the Poor and other books. Social Enterprise Social enterprises such as KIVA source for donations for many projects to help the poor. The book "The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid" by C.K. Prahalad gave many great examples of how simple enterprises help increase income for the poor from zero on some days to something meaningful. An example is an initiave to provide fishermen with access to mobile phones that helped them work out where to fish each day depending on the weather. Education Education is a way out of the poverty trap. The nature of education can be revolutionised today. Even in the developed work, ideas like home schooling have become a reality. With the internet and social networks, the reach of education is increased manifold. Equiping poor regions with computers and developing online programs may help accelerate the rate of education in these far out poor regions. Other Apart from this, we sometimes hear about inefficiencies in the system, corruption, difficulties in reaching poor regions because of poor infrastructure, etc. Progress must be made to root out inefficiencies and corruption where these exist.

As a person directly involved in providing and administering micro-capital in Africa, Europe and the Caribbean, I have seen this additional sub-process yield exceptional results. Simply "throwing money" at a micro-business start-up without any mentoring support increases their chances for failure in two key areas: fully repaying the micro-loan and sustaining the micro-business beyond 12 months. The basic business training seeks to confirm participants' understanding of simple financial concepts like capital, credit/loan, interest, rate of return, rule of 72, revenue/sales, income, expenses, business expansion, cost of capital, cost of sales, debt vs equity and creating simple monthly financial projections for sales, cost of sales, business expenses, debt repayment and profit. The mentoring support ensures accountability and provides a sounding-board for resolving typical start-up issues faced by entrepreneurs everywhere and specifically in emerging markets. It also provides a measure of cheer-leading and positive reinforcement, where needed. This training and subsequent mentoring has the added benefit of ensuring the micro-entrepreneur understands how the real-world operates financially so that they can eventually access traditional banking services in their country when their micro-business stabilizes and expands. It also creates a level of accountability that raises the quality and standard of entrepreneurial fervour and achievement.

Records has it that, more than 1.3 billion people out of the world population of approximately 7 billion people live on $1.25 a day, what it means is that, this amount will not even much up to the cost of one square meal in some developing countries not to talk of developed ones. the agenda therefore should be how to improve agriculture both at the micro and the macro level, so people can see agriculture as a lucrative business that have good return on investment. investing in agriculture will in the mid-run reduce the cost of food stuffs and so make food and other compliments accessible to all across the globe. Investing in infrustructure throughout the agribusiness proces and finacing agriculture to be the major business of developing countries will minimize regret but maximize certaintainty of world bank in its quest of poverty reduction in the world. there should be a well maped out plan to invest heavily in agriculture in developing countries because, they will be more efficient in the area of agiculture and will ensure food security and so reduce poverty in the long run. however this should be done with focus on contigency centred approah where each country is placed within its strength within the agribusiness cycle. Critical amongst the many issues are: The first step to addressing poverty is to develop a definittion that transcends mere economic consideration but that incorporates culture, religion, political, and other geo-spatial considerations pf affected people. Secondly, the global practice of ranking and defining poverty of less developed countries with theri more advance counter-parts only worsen global perspection of poverty. Thirdly, poverty in its absolute sense may be reduced but often without regard of the unintended consequences that come about with the institutions of anti-poverty measures that further impoverishes connected populations. Fighting "poverty" require the redictribution of resoruces from more resoruced communities to less developed communities. However, if poverty has is a presence of a lack, then shifting resources may result necesarily lead to deprivations in in more developed parts. Alternatively, the global system must seek equity and justice in the commodity valuation system so much so that the resources, irrespective of corruption, are used to empower, improve living conditions, increase domestic outlook etc. Globa economic justice not aid or grants will improve the world and its people.

They keep the citizen as their captive customers and use price increase as a leverage for their continued survival. Hence corporate organisations producing and supplying the essential commodities create, maintain and increase the people below poverty line in any nation. Comparatively, this ratio in developed nations are low and under control. Conversely, the operating ratio of non-essential goods in the developing nations are low and favourable, because of competition and global business operators. The golden rule is that the Essential need supplies should keep their Operating ratio at 75 % or below. according to the situation all over countries suffer from this issue ,i have some ideas to reduce rate of poverty : 1. fight corruption by creating an defective M&E system 2.all organization that working in special field must coordinate with each other so to avoid duplication 3. more care about base education (not office buildings) but training teachers and logistic needs for students 4. increasing and updating researches about labour market needs to design universities or training centers according to it 5. Establish & empower CBOs to reach grassroots without many (brokers)
