The Annual Bank Conference on Development Economics (ABCDE) is fast approaching. The theme of this year’s conference is "Political Incentives and Development Outcomes" and papers selected for this year’s ABCDE are now posted online.
We received a total of 931 submissions and accepted 36 papers for the conference, to be held this year in Washington D.C. from June 25-26. Our key takeaway from the submissions we received? The field has a generation of promising economists and political scientists researching a vast number of topics ranging from electoral processes to corruption, bureaucracies and even dictators. The research covers a wide range of countries from India to Madagascar and even the US Congress.
For now, we leave you with the titles of the papers that will be presented, but tune in later for opportunities to watch the proceedings online and follow via social media.
