Daniel Gil-Sanchez is a Data Scientist and Engineer with the World Bank’s Development Data Group, where he leads the development of automated data pipelines and workflows for the Bank’s Data360 initiative, centralizing key development indicators on a single platform. He also contributes to projects such as the Global Alliance for Food Security Dashboard, integrating diverse data sources to provide real-time insights for policy and decision-making. He brings extensive experience in data science, engineering, and governance, having worked across sectors including public health, transport, housing, poverty, and social policy, as well as in academic research and consultancy.

Daniel holds a MSc in Statistics from KU Leuven University in Belgium, and a BSc in Statistics from the National University of Colombia.
