Francisco Jijena Sánchez is a transport consultant that works for the World Bank’s Transport Global Practice in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he is supporting the implementation of several mobility related projects and studies that promote shared prosperity in Argentina and Paraguay. He is passionate about development and social inclusion through public transport and he strongly believes that transportation plays a major role in enhancing access to opportunities.
Francisco holds a Civil Engineering degree from University of Buenos Aires and is currently finalizing a Master’s Double Degree from École des Mines in Paris in the Earth Sciences and Environment department. His interests also lie in public transport funding, transport resilience and multimodal integration.
