Ghulam Dastagir Sayed is a Senior Health Specialist in the World Bank, South Asia Region.He has also been a team member in the World Bank for Libya, India and Pakistan health programs. Sayed has rich experience of working in the domain of public health in Afghanistan and other countries for more than 15 years. Prior to joining the World Bank, Sayed has worked with international Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and the Ministry of Health of Afghanistan. He received Master's Degree in International Public Health from the University of Victor Segalen in Bordeaux – France and MD Degree from Kabul Medical University. His MPH thesis work was on the role of community health workers for raising health awareness amongst underserved/marginalized communities in Mali - Africa.
