He Wang holds a Ph.D. in economics and is a consultant with the Analytics and Research Team in Digital Transformation. He investigates the impact of AI on labor markets and the barriers to AI adoption in developing countries. Prior to joining the Digital Vice Presidency, he worked as a consultant at the Development Research Group. His research explores social and economic development in developing countries, including migration, labor markets, economic geography, and political economy. He has published papers in the Journal of Development Economics, World Development, Journal of Economics and Business, and Journal of Government and Economics. He received both his Ph.D. in Economics and his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Peking University in Beijing, China.
