Jon Kher Kaw is a senior urban development specialist with the World Bank’s Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience and Land Global Practice. He also heads the World Bank’s Urbanscapes community of practice, and brings with him technical and policy expertise in urban planning, real estate, sustainable development, urban technology, and city innovation. Since 2013, he has led numerous city engagements, investment operations, advisory and analytical work focused on cities in South Asia, Middle East, and North Africa regions. Before joining the World Bank, he was with the Government of Singapore, where he held various key positions at the national urban planning agency. He holds a Master in Design Studies (Housing and Urbanization) from Harvard University and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University.
