Dr. Katherine Alfredo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of South Florida. She has extensive international experience that includes two US Fulbright Fellowships. Prior to joining the faculty at University of South Florida, she was the Research Program Manager at DC Water focused on the difficulties large, urban utilities face in ensuring a constant supply of high quality, potable water. She holds a Professional Engineering license in the state of Virginia. As a JPB Environmental Health Fellow she is currently exploring the relationship between actual and perceived drinking water risk on a household's water source and home water treatment technology decisions.
