Kevin Ahouandjinou is an ETC Water and Sanitation Specialist, based in Benin’s CO. He is an active member of the water team working on Benin’s Portfolio. Kevin joined the World Bank Group in January 2023.
Before joining the Bank, Kevin was a consultant for the French group ARTELIA as a water sanitation and environment projects coordinator. He is a specialized civil engineer in water and sanitation with several years of experience in Benin, Ivory Coast, and Ghana.
During his professional career, he worked five years as a study and project follow-up engineer for SONEB (Benin National Water Company). While at SONEB, Kevin gained valuable experience in planning, implementing, and managing water projects in urban areas, which has helped him to develop a thorough understanding of the water sector in Benin. He also experienced the private sector, especially for ARISE IIP in the construction of the Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone. He had the opportunity to participate in rural water supply projects with the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) in Ghana.
Kevin graduated from the Polytechnic School of Abomey-Calavi (University of Abomey-Calavi) in Benin. He has completed the Knowledge Co-Creation Program "Operation and Maintenance of Urban Water Supply System” in cooperation with Osaka Municipal Waterworks Bureau and Osaka Water General Service Co.,Ltd. and the technical training course of Non-revenue Water Reduction at Fuji Tecom Inc. in Japan.
