Khalid Moheyddeen is a Senior Social Protection Specialist with the Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice at the World Bank, where he has worked since December 2013. Previously, he served as a Senior Officer in the Monitoring and Evaluation unit of the Yemen Social Fund for Development for nine years. Khalid has extensive experience as a Team Leader and co-Team Leader, where he managed and supported a range of operations and advisory support activities. His work includes leading high-impact policy dialogues with governments and development partners across Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Yemen, Oman, and Somalia. Khalid’s expertise spans Social Safety Nets and Community-Driven Development programs, with a particular focus on poverty reduction, socioeconomic inclusion, resilience building, and the empowerment of vulnerable groups, including in Fragile, Conflict, and Violence (FCV) settings. His contributions cover key areas such as skills training, labor market activation, pensions, gender-focused socioeconomic empowerment, and social inclusion. Khalid has also contributed to numerous knowledge products, including evaluations, policy briefs, and discussion papers. He holds Master’s Degrees in Business Administration from Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland and Sikkim Manipal University in India.
