Megha is Lead Urban Specialist at the World Bank Group, and is author of several flagship reports, including Unlivable: How Cities in Europe and Central Asia Can Survive ‒ and Thrive ‒ in a Hotter Futurethe Western Balkans Country Climate and Development ReportThriving: Making Cities Green, Resilient, and Inclusive in a Changing Climateand Competitive Cities for Jobs and Growth: What, Who, and How.

She has taught at Columbia University, SAIS (Johns Hopkins), and most recently, was Visiting Professor at Wits University in South Africa. Megha holds a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and a master’s from Cambridge University. With several decades of experience within the World Bank and across institutions such as the WTO, WHO, USITC, and Yale, her work spans urban and industrial development, climate, trade, and poverty.
