Phil Crehan is a social development consultant who examines the economic and social impact of homophobic/ transphobic discrimination. At the World Bank, he works on various projects that promote the full inclusion of LGBTI persons. He co-managed a grant “Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Development” that examined the relationship between discrimination and socioeconomic status, in addition to measuring the impact of social exclusion on economic development. He has contributed to important stakeholder engagement efforts aimed at better understanding economic development issues faced by vulnerable and marginalized groups across several continents.  Additionally, Phil has worked on the SecureNutrition Platform in addition to the Global Agriculture Food Security Program. With these projects he has promoted the link between agricultural development, food security, and nutrition.
