Rania Atieh is a social protection and labor consultant at the Human Development Department of the World Bank’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region where she works on social safety nets and labor market reforms. During her two years at the World Bank, Rania has provided operational, technical and analytical support to the World Bank programs in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Yemen and the Palestinian Territories in addition to working on regional initiatives such as the Middle East and North Africa Community of Practice on Employment and Social Safety Nets. She Holds a MA in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked at the Canadian International Development Agency where she was responsible for the implementation and oversight of a number of country and regional human development projects in MENA.
