Rhea Jabbour

Lawyer & Legal Consultant for Mashreq Gender Facility of the World Bank

Rhéa Jabbour is an Attorney at Law, admitted to practice Law in Lebanon and in the State of New York.

Rhéa has over ten years of experience as Legal Advisor and worked in multinationals including L’Oréal and Arnold & Porter Kay Scholer LLP.

She joined the World Bank - Mashreq Gender Facility in 2019 as Legal Consultant and is currently the General Counsel of Saradar Group and a Professor of Mediation.

In 2014, Rhéa joined the John Smith Fellowship for the Rule of Law during which she developed a strategy on how to prevent and address workplace discrimination in Lebanon.

She is passionate about children’s empowerment and is the author of “The Little Voice Inside”, a children’s book about bullying and inclusion.

Rhéa holds a LL.M. with a focus on Human Rights from McGill University; a LL.M. with a focus on Mediation from Columbia University in the City of New York; and a Ph.D. from Paris 1 Panthéon-la Sorbonne University. Her Ph.D. thesis addressed looks based discrimination (lookism) in a comparative analysis between French and American Employment Law.
