Shyam Srinivasan is an international development professional with a multisectoral orientation. He is currently a Transport Specialist focusing on urban mobility, electric mobility and rural access to schools in India and Pakistan. Previously, he worked in the Education Global Practice, primarily in Francophone West Africa. Before joining the World Bank, Shyam was a civil servant in the Government of Singapore from 2012 to 2020, specializing in education and transport policies. Shyam started as a teacher, became an education policy officer, and then led a policy team overseeing Singapore's cross-border rail projects with Malaysia. Shyam has a degree in Physics from the University of Oxford, and a Master’s in Applied Physics from Columbia University.
