Shyamasis Das has been a consultant to the World Bank for the past 1.5 years. He has been instrumental in supporting the organization in some of its marquee initiatives concerning electric mobility in India. He has over 13 years' experience in dealing with core and cross-cutting energy and climate change issues. His work currently focuses on electric mobility and its inter-linkages with power utility. Previously, he has worked with some of the premier consulting firms and international development agencies and think-tanks. He has authored over 15 publications including India's first handbook for implementation of public charging infrastructure which has been recognized and adopted by the Ministry of Power - Government of India, Department of Science & Technology, and NITI Aayog. Shyamasis has been invited to give talks at various national and international forums including the recently organized seminar by the International Energy Agency on the issue of EV-grid interplay. He is also the only practitioner from India to contribute to the Clean Energy Ministerial’s policy report on "Electric Vehicle and Power System Integration".
