Sruti Bandyopadhyay concentrates on civic tech and digital citizen engagement at the World Bank’s Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA).
Since joining the organization in 2012, Sruti has been devoting herself to social accountability, citizen engagement, and multi-stakeholder collaboration for better service delivery outcomes across various units at the World Bank.
In November 2022, she worked on World Bank-financed projects, primarily in Ethiopia and Malawi, as a Public Sector Specialist in Governance Global Practice. She focused on thematic areas of citizen engagement, such as public participation in the budget and audit process, parliament and open budget, as well as GovTech in countries affected by fragility risks.
Before joining the World Bank, Sruti worked in a think tank in rural India, where she was part of India's first-ever citizen-led expenditure monitoring survey. Sruti enjoys spending time outdoors with her children and husband in her free time.
