Dr. Valentina Conti is a consultant to the Statistics Division of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). She works as an economist in the field of food security and nutrition, with a particular focus on the cost and affordability of healthy diets. Her work at the FAO has involved conducting research and analysis on the key drivers of food insecurity and malnutrition, both at the national and global levels. Valentina holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Tor Vergata (Italy) and participated in a one-year visiting program at the University of Leicester (United Kingdom). Prior to joining the FAO, she worked as a research fellow in labor and health economics at the University of Tor Vergata. Valentina also holds a master's degree in development economics and international cooperation.
