He focuses on the ocean economy in the Environment and Agriculture Global Practice. Prior to moving to DC, he worked as a Counsellor at the World Bank’s office to the UN. Before the Bank, he was an Economics Affairs Officer at UNCTAD and an Associate Professor at the University in Geneva. Yuvan is a doctoral candidate on EU trade relations with Africa (Sorbonne), holds a Masters (Sorbonne) in Political Economy and a BA International Affairs from the American University of Paris. He is interested in the nexus of oceans, climate and security.
