Fighting Hunger in Our Villages

Our villages are bread baskets – the primary region where most of the world's food is grown. Ironically, they are also home to many of the 1 billion who live in chronic hunger.


 

An IFAD report on rural poverty estimates that more than 70% of the developing world’s extremely poor people live in rural areas. To overcome global hunger and extreme poverty, we need to pay special attention to these areas.
