Nathalie Picarelli is a Senior Economist in the Macroeconomics, Trade & Investment (MTI) Global Practice at the World Bank based in Brussels. In her current work in Europe and Central Asia, she covers the EU and Poland, where she is responsible for the macroeconomic and fiscal policy dialogue and analytics. She previously worked in Latin America and the Caribbean, and as Senior Country Economist for Cote d’Ivoire and Benin in West Africa leading a range of budget support operations, technical assistance, and analytical programs on growth, debt management, and public finance. Nathalie joined the World Bank as a Junior Professional Associate in 2011, and later as a Young Professional in 2017 after completing her PhD at the London School of Economics. Prior to joining the World Bank, Nathalie worked at Roubini Global Economics in New York covering emerging markets in Latin America. She also holds an MPA from Columbia University and a BA in political science and economics from Sciences Po Paris.
