Nathalie Picarelli is a Senior Economist at the World Bank, based in Brussels. She covers macroeconomic and fiscal policy for the European Union and Poland, with a focus on innovation, AI and growth. She has overseen numerous budget support operations and technical assistance in Côte d’Ivoire and Benin, and worked in fragile countries like Haiti and Niger, as well as Latin America and the Caribbean leading the policy dialogue and operations on the areas of growth, debt management, public finance, infrastructure, and transport. Nathalie joined the World Bank in 2017 after earning her PhD from the London School of Economics. Her experience includes roles in economic consulting, academia, and financial inclusion NGOs. She holds an MPA from Columbia University and both an MRes in Economics and a BA from Sciences Po Paris.
