Maria Barron is a Research Analyst at the World Bank Group’s Education Global Practice. She has over six years of experience working in the design, implementation, and evaluation of education policy at national and international levels. Prior to her current role she worked as a researcher for the Research on Improving Systems of Education (RISE) Program at the University of Oxford, and the Department for International Development (DFID). Additionally, she’s had hands on experience implementing social programs at the Ministry of Production, Ministry of Education, and development NGOs in Peru. Maria is an Oxford-Weidenfeld Scholar and holds a Master in Public Policy (MPP), a Master in Science (MSc) in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Law and Political Science from the Catholic University of Peru.
