Helena Dill is a seasoned Sustainable Finance Specialist at the IFC, member of the World Bank Group. She's dedicated to driving green and sustainable finance in emerging markets, fostering investments essential for transitioning to a low-carbon, resilient, and nature-positive economy. Prior to joining IFC, Helena worked for the World Bank’s Treasury advising countries on sustainable finance instruments and capital market solutions to manage financial, disaster, and commodity risks. Before joining the WBG, she served as an advisor at Brazil’s Presidency of the Republic and the Ministry of Finance, structuring infrastructure projects in diverse sectors (tourism, forest, energy, national parks, oil and gas, airports), designing the privatization of state-owned enterprises, and advising on regulatory policy reforms of financial markets and other industries (energy, water, aviation, tourism). She was also a Manager at the Brazilian National Treasury, negotiating and approving development investment loans.
Ms. Dill has a Master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Master’s in Development Economics from the Federal University of Paraná in Brazil.
